His role included site selection, real estate development, lease negotiations, construction oversight, operational standards, staffing, customer experience, and brand execution. He was closely involved in bringing new locations from concept through construction and into operation, gaining direct experience across both operations and real estate.
Johnny Clean Car Wash was ultimately sold to El Car Wash, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus, providing John with firsthand experience transitioning an operator-led business into institutional ownership.
